Kokoberry, SS15 Sbg

They're having a buy 1 free 1 promo so if you're there, don't hesitate to grab one. I only paid RM4.70 for a french vanilla blend, and a caramel milk tea ; both with extra tapioca pearls.

The Best PanMee @ The Hawker Food Court Opposite Harbourfront Bus Stop, Singapore

We tried the curry mee, potato pastry, masi lemak, gyoza and pan mee. To my surprise, the panmee was actually the best I have ever tasted so far. The soup was flavourful, and they were generous with both the noodles and its ingredients. The egg added a silky touch to the already smooth-textured panmee. Only costs SG4.50 for a bowl, and I'm craving one so badly at this hour :(

The curry noodles were not bad, and were loaded with ingredients as well (SG5.00) but till this day the panmee was the only thing that latched on to my mind like a indulgent-laden parasite. This is not something you would have expected from a under-patronized hawker stall. One more bowl please !

Recipe : Avocado Puree Ham-Cheese French Sandwich

Ingredients :
2 ripe avocados, 50g butter, salt and pepper to taste,
1 french bread (avoid baguettes, they're tougher),
100g romaine lettuce, cheese slices, jumbo chicken ham, and rosemary (optional)

Step 1:
Blend avocado, butter, salt, and black pepper together using food processor.
Leave in some chunks for texture.

Step 2 :
Cut the french bread into any size you desire. Spread puree on both sides before stacking on the lettuce, cheese, and ham. Be generous with the puree, or else the taste would be masked by other savoury ingredients.

Step 3:
Chill before serving to ensure that the lettuce is crisp, and also to keep the sandwich light/neat-tasting. Use a toothpick to keep the ingredients stacked in place.

Pork Fiesta @ Hungry Hogs, SS15 Subang

Craving for a cholesterol-laden meal ? Well here's the place to indulge and bathe in porky goodness. To make things short, we ordered a plate of keropork (yeap, keroPORK aka fried pig fat), the siew yoke platter (roasted pork belly), 2 portions of the 3 Little Pigs Burger (bacon, cheese, ham, patty, caramelized onions), and Plain Jane (cheese and patty burger). The bill didn't even exceed RM70 (drinks included), and the portions were big! Everything was nicely flavoured, and I especially adore the keropork, which was something different from your everyday pork dish. Though the 3LP burger was a house specialty, the Plain Jane tasted better in my opinion. No doubt I'll be returning again to sample their bacon pasta, bangers & mash, and the beef stew !
