El Fresco @ Empire

We had the cappu, mush soup, grilled fish, carbonara fettuccine, and panacotta. What's excellent? The texture of the fish is totally out of this world. Crispy yet soft, succulent, flaky, and fresh (though the tomato base that accompanied it was a big no-no for me). Another thing that had me going for the day was the panacotta. Silky and sweet, the dessert literally melts in your mouth. Thinking about it now is enough to make me shiver in delight :P

Inglot

A new shop's in town to rival Mac hehe. They have a wide selection of nail colours and professional eyelashes, the kind you won't even be able to find in Shu Uemura ...

Kinpachi - Part 2

More grub pics :) The tonkatsu set, tempura set, pork belly skewers, chicken skin & chicken tail skewers respectively. The chicken tail is really good! This is a good place to have japanese beer and some sticks on the grill, but I wouldn't really recommend the tempura set :/ The tonkatsu was pretty expensive as well cause its just lone breaded pork standing by itself. Go for the skewers! About RM3 a stick, really worth it :) This place is located just opposite Empire Gallery.

Let's Do The Motown

Oh, I've been to Nice and the isle of Greece
when I sipped champagne on a yacht
I moved like Harlow in Monte Carlo
and showed them what I've got
I've been undressed by kings
and I've seen some things that a woman ain't s'pose to see
I've been to paradise but I've never been to me...

Kinpachi @ USJ 17, Subang Jaya

The sashimi moriawase is presented beautifully ! Though I would say it's not as fresh as the platter served at rakuzen :/ The food's good though! And they'll let you choose which cute sake cup to use when you order a bottle :D

Rest Trees Neighbourhood

Visited a house here, gotta admit that it's a nice neigghbourhood :) This is an ungated community at that too, and each unit is equipped with a pool, unless the owner removed it cause he/she didn't fancy one. Reminds me of wisteria, but rather tranquil.

Reuben's Duck Pate

The gaminess is incredibly overpowering but then again the texture's good. I prefer the goose pate that you can buy by the gram at Bangsar's TMC. The ones there are seasoned with black pepper and cost about half the price.

RT Pastry (A Japanese-Taiwanese Bakery)

Again, one of my favourite bakeries :) The produce really fresh pastries on a daily basis. Everything here is a wee bit more expensive compared to your local bread store, but nothing beats the wonderful aroma which greets you the very moment you set foot in this eggs & flour wonderland. Branches are located at SS15 Subang, Bandar Baru Klang, and IOI Boulevard respectively.

Cakes @ Whisk, Empire

The red velvet here is quite delectable. One of the best I've tasted actually (in total opposite to Ben's let down at the pavilion). However, the highlight for me was really the Granny Butterscotch Cake with Icing. It was soooo good :) A slice of rv and gran butterscotch will cost ya about RM 28. The staff are incredibly friendly and they sure know their cakes well! I quite like what they bake here and I'll definitely return for more ... but at the end of the day I'm still very much a sucker for the heavenly desserts they whip up at alexis :)

Sawadee

I guess I did pretty alright? teehee. Though cleaning out the pineapple was the hardest part. Other than that these are just relatively easy dishes to prepare. Try having a nice thai-thai night at home with candles and all, really brings on the mood for an exotic meal :)

Hearty Puzzles

It's amazing how everything seems much more out of this world when you've got simple technology like paint and rollip to colour up every memory. Say photoshop, wha-whatt ?

Yup, you've got it right. I've gone on another food spree in a futile attempt to gain weight in all the right areas, and consequently I have subjected myself to the state of a marshmallow.

I was too full to walk.

I could have picked up my latest read and just indulge myself in the imaginative world of a novel, but sadly to say the novel has been highly assimilated with a cookbook, luring me into its trap to gag at every page turned, considering the fact that I was at that hour stuffed like a christmas turkey gobblegobble. So there's nothing better than to explore what the internet has to offer me in terms of collaging tutes and what not.

Well, truth is, I didn't pick up any pointers from the net, but hey I just allowed the soul of my creativity to take heed. Who knew collaging could take up a fun-filled 2 hours ? Reminds me of the time I've spent in kindergarten tearing and sticking pictures back again in order to make them look more colourful ... or rather I was instructed to do so for art class, and didn't know the purpose. Probably the latter. Alright, I digress.

I use to be all artsy-fartsy from kindergarten up till secondary. Was always one of those students who could draw and paint really well. But I always did it for fun, not to enhance my skills whatsoever since I was quite, if I could geekishly admit, solely dedicated to science. Anyway anywho, playing with the pixels this time kinda gave me a nostalgic kick ... and I'm glad to say that the memories that came flooding back were just [picture perfect].

Well back to the topic. I've been playing round with rollip for some time now, and I realised just how addictive this thing can get. You'll know you're hooked on when this rushing wave of OCD engulfs you at the very thought of leaving your naked pictures (and by naked I mean the original colour form of the photo - not lomolized) alone, just the way they are. Yes, the urge will pull you, and cajole you into a multiple-effect frenzy with your clickety-click. Technology, gotta love it ;) *purrs*

It's like graphic shebang. Pretty easy and in the process, quite relaxing to the mind. Have fun kiddos !

Retro effects are cute :)

Sweet Talk @ Digital Mall, USJ 21, Subang Jaya

They have 2 light bites on the menu that shook me to the core : the yam pastry and the lemongrass jelly. Absolutely delish! The complimentary coffee agar-agar, mango pudding, fried doughnut, green bean soup, and egg tart were pretty decent as well. The fried doughnut was kinda flavourful for something so basic in seasoning ... I like this dessert parlour! The yam dimmies and lemongrass is a definite must :) Bill came up to only about RM20.
