Photo-Notes

Photo-Notes.net works a lil better than Instantizer in my opinion ... rotations, colours, fitting ... high tech, much ?

*grins*

Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee, KL

Located at : 40 Ground Floor, Jalan Dewan Sultan Sulaiman 1, off Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Chow Kit. Opposite some mechanic shops.

Best chilli pan mee I've ever tasted =) Place is always packed though, so you've gotta wait a wee bit longer for your awesome RM4/bowl tasty grub.
P.S., They sell good chicken pie and apple crumble at the entrance of the shop too

Playboy

Most women out there actually loathe playboys ... But there's one kind that they DO love :

Since I finished my notes early today, I decided to reward myself by dining & shopping with my babes =)
P.S., Woot ! Catching the Brazil match tonight ;)
P.S.S., I cleared out my wardrobe and donated 5 large bags (as big as the black dustbin plastic bags) ... but my closet still looks as compact as before. Amazing.

Thomas Sabo Shark Collection

Always loved T.S., but when they came up with the shark collection I went bonkers !
[Shark + sterling silver + in the form of a pendant = perfect]
I guess my love for the Jaws trilogy had somehow manifested itself since I was little. I like the pendant in the third picture the most =) First one's too sparkly, and the second one's a ring (but I like it too!).
Their greatest creation & design yet <3

When Stuck, Improvise

Besides using cognitive behavioural therapy, a little painting helps with stress, ALOT =)
I decided to Bali-fy my room a lil bit more by adorning one of its wall with a vintage clock. Searched high and low in the mall for a wooden and unique piece ... even went round Home Treasures twice but not one was to my liking (though I absolutely adore the wooden furniture there!). Was not willing to give up, so I headed to a shop somewhat similar to Rooms and purchased a really beautifully-shaped wall clock. The only problem that was presenting itself : it wasn't brown (therefore not "Bali" enough).

As a result of too much advice from someone, I DECIDED TO PAINT IT MYSELF USING BANCHO POSTER PAINT and not some glam permanent wood-varnish colour from the art store which takes 3 days to dry =P

Originally gray ...

Bought 6 bottles of paint ...

But ended up using one ! Yes, one = more than enough

Tested a little ... Started at the base

Worked upwards ...

Painted the sides as well ... paid attention to detail and filled up the nooks and crannies

Left it to dry ...

Viola ! The end product, on the wall :)

I love my room all the more now *dreamy sigh*

Miami Miami, Vice Vice

Aviators. Loves.

If you're a girl, don't be afraid to parade a pair of these babies (doesn't matter if its gold or silver rimmed with matching lenses) ... cause us women make everything look delish, even if it was originally fashioned for men ;)
Sign,
Your typical Rock-em-avi-chica. XOXO

BISDS

Maha Vihara ...

I miss going there on sundays :(
I miss Sister Chan and Brother KC :(
I miss my puja sessions :(
I miss performing there :(
I miss having revisions for the MBE exam :(
I miss understanding more and also debating during classes :(

Was so proud at obtaining 2nd place out of the top 3 scores in the MBE exam; I also beamed when I saw my name in the magazine and received the certificate + trophy for it ... But looking back, I've realised that the exam didn't even come close to validating my "holy" status. In fact, there was a correlation between the scores and the moral level that I was at. Negative correlation, that is.

Did I actually stick to my daily five precepts (pañca-sīlāni) ? Atleast I knew I tried last time. Do I try to stick to them today ? Not even an ounce of effort invested ... I have to admit, a little Musavada. Musavada. Musavada. now and then helps me break the everyday-five.

I use to be such a goodie. What happened ? I even missed Wesak this year :(

P.S., I think being cooped-up for 3 days in a row has made me emo-nemo =P I've been awake since 4am and I would respond to that like how Usher did, only in a different context ... "Oh.My.Gosh." Feeling spiritual during the wee hours of dawn. Weird.

Abstract art. So beautiful, yet so confusing.
Just like 'us' ...
Why'd you paint it that way ?
... why'd you make us this way ?

This should be another glass of mojito =P

Entrees : Crab cakes with Onion Rings and Mixed Dip

Clam Chowder Soup & Garlic Bread

Salmon & Tomato Bruschetta

Main Courses : Beef Carbonara Fettuccine

Medium-Rare Beef Topped with a Fillet, with sides of Sour Cream Potatoes, and Garden Vegetables

BBQ Lamb Rack, Potatoes, and Grilled Vegetables

Beef Stew (includes all innerts in chutney-like sauce) with Frech Bread

Desserts : Cheese Cake with Berry Sauce and White Chocolate

Churros with Vanila & Chocolate Dip

Located at Lot G111, Ground Floor, Bangsar Shopping Centre, 285, Jalan Maarof, Bukit Bandar Raya, 59000 KL ... The salmon bruschetta, lamb rack, carbonara, and cheese cake are highly recommended picks ! The clam chowder soup was a little too runny for my liking, but there was a generous portion of chunky clams =) WiP has a very laid-back and relaxing ambience, and it'll make a good place to just chill out and chat for 3 hours straight while enjoying the zing of their cocktails. The place is well-known to be patronized by many expats. As far as the price goes, I found it to be very reasonable. Service was good, and it doesn't take long for your starter, main course and dessert to turn up on your table. Awesomely cool place (and romantic ! if you're seated at the table we were given : beside the 3 large torches that reached up to the night sky) <3

Tee hee ~
