Tea

Was enjoying some english flower tea in the comfort of the afternoon breeze at an outdoor cafe, when I thought about Winter Warmers and its variety of soothing tea flavours. Headed there and purchased 4 bottles, a filter pot, tiny teacups, and a tea stand (this one was from a bali shop).

Aromatic, light, and filled with therapeutic properties. A way to supplement the delightful serenity of your garden or patio.

salmon salad with sesame dressing

aglio olio

chicken gyoza

chicken terriyaki & egg yolk pizza

The pasta was seasoned a tad too much, but the pizza was excellent ! Definitely a place to visit for a healthy and satisfying lunch.

Located @ L12A-1-1, Palm Square JAYA ONE
Jalan Universiti, Petaling Jaya, SEL.

Bisou, KLCC

Pretty cuppies at RM5 a piece, but if you buy 5 you'll get 1 for free :) Probably worth 50 cents more than the one's at Chic cause they're very generous with the icing.

Loved the Mocha flavour.

Always

When you're feeling low,
Or when you feel that nothing's right,
Just know that I'll be here ...
to listen, to care for, and to comfort you,
always there, always near ...
even if it still hurts.

I've got your back, just like how you've got mine for these 3 years :)

Fudge Factor

I think many people have the wrong idea about my living style.

"I'm afraid that my gift wouldn't be expensive enough for you"

Sigh. Its the hundred and one-th time I have tried to tell someone that though I may not hesitate to spend on certain items, it certainly doesn't mean that I am equivalent to a materialistic individual.

I won't beat about the bush; it may sound very unappreciative of me but I actually do not completely fancy gifts that you can just purchase out of a store. In fact, I am more appreciative of gifts that you have made by yourself or have put effort into.

If it comes from your heart, I would love it to bits. Yes, what I desire in gifts, would definitely be the effort part.

Take for example, my heart literally melted when someone dear surprised me on my birthday by taking me on a picnic at the beach (to top it off, awesome sandwiches & cupcakes were prepared). This, was a present I have dreamt of for as long as I could remember, and he made it happen *smiles*

I am absolutely sure that many people out there feel the same way. Therefore, it would only be relevant if we're not so quick to judge someone with less qualms when spending, for he or she may not be constantly aiming for the finest things in life.

And with that said, let's just all learn to digress a little from that stubborn mindset :)

Budfest

"Hmmm ... hmmm ... hmmm"
Yeah, stoner.

XOXO,
your authors.

Its good to have another one of the bozos back (though he decided to stinge and not bring us any chocs from aus) ... and atleast, the group seems more complete for now ... we should have a reason to rejoice, cause this spells another road trip !

Delicious, OU

Wild mushroom soup

Fried mushrooms

Lamb rack

Carbonara spag.

Shrimp cocktail

Duck confit

The fried mushrooms were good, but the real highlights were the shrimp (superbly crunchy) and lamb rack (lovelovelove the fatty bits; medium well) ... the rest were alright, but I guess that's why they provided you with bottles of salt & pepper on the table :) I still prefer the duck confit at Alexis though.

Oh juicy, tender lamb rack *shivers in delight*

Zen Japanese Restaurant, KL

Sashimi platter &
Quarter tray of sea urchin (in the bowl)

Tender beef marinated with miso paste (grill it to your own liking)

Grilled scallops and enokitake (mushrooms) dressed with jap mayo

If you wanna have something healthy, this would be a good place :) The beef and sashimi were both decent, and the sea urchin was pretty light on taste ... but the scallops are a must try !

Ichiban Boshi, Pavilion KL

Prawn and Bacon skewers

Mixture of enoki & shitake, cooked in a foil wrap

The usual must : Sashimi platter

Tempura crab (to be dipped in hot milk sauce)

Mix tempura udon

Sashimi & Chicken Don Set

Saba fish

Dorayaki with Matcha ice cream

Milk parfait

I would say that the food here is actually good ! Some dishes here are better than at Zanmai's, though not all ... Still, a chic-eat that's pretty worth it ;)
