The Paperdoll Project by Eclipse

I was buying a pair of pretty shoes from Eclipse when they asked if I would like to donate an extra RM20 to the World Vision project. After further inquiring, I found out that this was indeed a very helpful charity effort and that almost 100% of the collected donations would be channeled straight to the poverty-stricken children of Indonesia. Do check out Eclipse's fb page for more info. When you donate RM20 you'll be entitled to a paperdoll book which features their incoming line of fashion (dress the doll, which is modeled after Xandria Ooi, as you like) !

The Big Mouth Cafe : Part II

We tried the creamy seafood pasta, smoked salmon platter (appetizer), mushroom chicken chop, blackpepper chop, and cheesy wedges. The chicken was nicely grilled! Really tender and juicy, though I prefer the mushroom sauce to the pepper one. The pasta was more cheesy than creamy, but it came along with large mussels to satisfy the tummy. The wedges were really crispy, and I loved the dollop of chunky cheese melt that accompanied the dish. Overall, the bill came up to about RM80 (plus the 2 mille crepes) with drinks. Pretty nice spot to have a hearty lunch ! I've taken a fancy to this place (despite the lack of customers due to its hidden location) and will definitely be returning for more.

Mille Crepe @ The Big Mouth (Part I)

RM7.50 for a piece, and the original (with added caramel) is pretty good. The belgian is lagging a lil, so be sure to go for the ori one.

Dancing Fish @ BSC

Despite rave reviews, I actually feel that the gulai pucuk paku is overated, and so is the yellow rice. I've had better. But the belacan brinjal, dancing fish (kedondong masak kicap), bebek goreng (duck), and grilled squid were both exotic and tasty to the palate! Will definitely return to try out the rendang beef and some other dishes like the kangkung too. The dancing fish itself was a very wonderful dish (fresh flesh with a crunchy outer layer), which made it the highlight of the night. Though so, other items on the menu like the sup buntut and pisang bakar were definitely not up to par in terms of taste with those served at Ole Ole. I guess different restaurants have their own specialty :) For an awesome go at the tilapia, do not hesitate to visit this place !
