Hearty Puzzles
It's amazing how everything seems much more out of this world when you've got simple technology like paint and rollip to colour up every memory. Say photoshop, wha-whatt ?
Yup, you've got it right. I've gone on another food spree in a futile attempt to gain weight in all the right areas, and consequently I have subjected myself to the state of a marshmallow.
I was too full to walk.
I could have picked up my latest read and just indulge myself in the imaginative world of a novel, but sadly to say the novel has been highly assimilated with a cookbook, luring me into its trap to gag at every page turned, considering the fact that I was at that hour stuffed like a christmas turkey gobblegobble. So there's nothing better than to explore what the internet has to offer me in terms of collaging tutes and what not.
Well, truth is, I didn't pick up any pointers from the net, but hey I just allowed the soul of my creativity to take heed. Who knew collaging could take up a fun-filled 2 hours ? Reminds me of the time I've spent in kindergarten tearing and sticking pictures back again in order to make them look more colourful ... or rather I was instructed to do so for art class, and didn't know the purpose. Probably the latter. Alright, I digress.
I use to be all artsy-fartsy from kindergarten up till secondary. Was always one of those students who could draw and paint really well. But I always did it for fun, not to enhance my skills whatsoever since I was quite, if I could geekishly admit, solely dedicated to science. Anyway anywho, playing with the pixels this time kinda gave me a nostalgic kick ... and I'm glad to say that the memories that came flooding back were just [picture perfect].
Well back to the topic. I've been playing round with rollip for some time now, and I realised just how addictive this thing can get. You'll know you're hooked on when this rushing wave of OCD engulfs you at the very thought of leaving your naked pictures (and by naked I mean the original colour form of the photo - not lomolized) alone, just the way they are. Yes, the urge will pull you, and cajole you into a multiple-effect frenzy with your clickety-click. Technology, gotta love it ;) *purrs*
It's like graphic shebang. Pretty easy and in the process, quite relaxing to the mind. Have fun kiddos !
Retro effects are cute :)

Fudge Factor
I think many people have the wrong idea about my living style.
"I'm afraid that my gift wouldn't be expensive enough for you"
Sigh. Its the hundred and one-th time I have tried to tell someone that though I may not hesitate to spend on certain items, it certainly doesn't mean that I am equivalent to a materialistic individual.
I won't beat about the bush; it may sound very unappreciative of me but I actually do not completely fancy gifts that you can just purchase out of a store. In fact, I am more appreciative of gifts that you have made by yourself or have put effort into.
If it comes from your heart, I would love it to bits. Yes, what I desire in gifts, would definitely be the effort part.
Take for example, my heart literally melted when someone dear surprised me on my birthday by taking me on a picnic at the beach (to top it off, awesome sandwiches & cupcakes were prepared). This, was a present I have dreamt of for as long as I could remember, and he made it happen *smiles*
I am absolutely sure that many people out there feel the same way. Therefore, it would only be relevant if we're not so quick to judge someone with less qualms when spending, for he or she may not be constantly aiming for the finest things in life.
And with that said, let's just all learn to digress a little from that stubborn mindset :)

When Stuck, Improvise
Besides using cognitive behavioural therapy, a little painting helps with stress, ALOT =)
I decided to Bali-fy my room a lil bit more by adorning one of its wall with a vintage clock. Searched high and low in the mall for a wooden and unique piece ... even went round Home Treasures twice but not one was to my liking (though I absolutely adore the wooden furniture there!). Was not willing to give up, so I headed to a shop somewhat similar to Rooms and purchased a really beautifully-shaped wall clock. The only problem that was presenting itself : it wasn't brown (therefore not "Bali" enough).
As a result of too much advice from someone, I DECIDED TO PAINT IT MYSELF USING BANCHO POSTER PAINT and not some glam permanent wood-varnish colour from the art store which takes 3 days to dry =P

Originally gray ...
Bought 6 bottles of paint ...

But ended up using one ! Yes, one = more than enough

Tested a little ... Started at the base
Worked upwards ...
Painted the sides as well ... paid attention to detail and filled up the nooks and crannies
Left it to dry ...

Viola ! The end product, on the wall :)
I love my room all the more now *dreamy sigh*

Blood Type Diet
A friend leaned over during lecture one day and told me about an odd diet that managed to help the sweet & bodacious Cheryl Cole lose some weight (yeah, my semi-obsessed mate googled her up and found this piece of info) ... Apparently, limiting yourself to specific types of food based on your blood category will help enhance your health and most importantly, BOOST YOUR METABOLISM (can I get a *woot*woot*, girls ?) There seems to be a long list of items that can't be eaten for every bloodtype, and your first reaction to your matching table would most probably be a greatly emphasized "What ?!" ... But if it worked for the celebrities, its gotta be something I guess =P

Personally, someone like me would never be able to follow through, cause I gorge on everything in my pathway ... like red fire ants =D hehe
